This article explains how to customize your Game Portal’s appearance and functionality in the Publisher Dashboard. You’ll configure the portal theme, login modal, SEO metadata, and menu navigation.
When adding images, if you provide an external image URL, Appcharge saves and uses the URL as-is. Appcharge doesn’t download, copy, upload, or host the image. If you use an external image URL, host the image on your own infrastructure and keep it available at the provided URL.We recommend uploading image files instead of using external URLs when possible. Appcharge hosts uploaded files on its CDN.

Design your Game Portal theme

To design the theme:
  1. In your Game Portal project, go to the Builder tab and click Portal Theme.
  2. In the General Settings section:
    • Set a General Background Color and Section Text Color.
    • Select a Section Title Font.
    • Background Image (Desktop): Click Upload or the asset library icon to upload or select an image (optional). Use 1920 × 1080 px, PNG or JPEG.
    • Background Image (Mobile): Click Upload or the asset library icon to upload or select an image (optional). Use 1:2 vertical ratio, minimum 400 px width, PNG or JPEG.
    If the image you upload doesn’t meet the required dimensions or ratio, the Publisher Dashboard displays a validation message with the expected specifications.Missing desktop or mobile images default to the General Background Color.
    • Upload a Favicon.
  3. In the Header section:
    • Upload a logo.
    • Customize the header background, text, and login button colors.
    • Toggle Show player name, Show player balance, and Show language switcher as needed.
  4. In the Content section, customize the look of article and news content on your content pages:
    • Set the Card background color, Card text color, and Card button color.
    • Set the Content body text color and Content background color.
    • Select a Card Button Font.
    • Set the Header image container opacity and Header image container color.
  5. In the Menu section, customize your portal’s menu:
    • Choose where the menu appears on the page, either in the Left Sidebar or as a Top Fixed Header.
    • Set the Background Color of the menu.
    • Set the Text Color of the menu items.
    • Set the Tab On-Hover Color to specify the text color when a player hovers over a menu item.
    • Set the Selected Tab Color to specify the text color of a selected menu item.
  6. In the Footer section:
    • Select a background and text color.
    • Add links for Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, and Support.
  7. Click Save to apply your changes.

Design your login modal

To design the modal:
  1. In your Game Portal project, go to the Builder tab and click Login Modal.
  2. Under the Login modal configuration section:
    • Upload a logo and background image.
    • Add a short welcome text.
    • Configure your font styles.
    • Write the modal Body text.
    • Check whether you would like to Ask for player’s active consent before enabling the login methods.
  3. Click Save to apply your changes.

Configure your Game Portal settings

To configure the settings:
  1. In your Game Portal project, go to the Builder tab and click Portal Settings.
  2. In the SEO Settings section:
    • Set the SEO Title, Description, and Keywords.
    • Upload a Social Share Image to display when your portal is shared on social media.
  3. To enable the Add to Home Screen button in your Game Portal:
    This feature is available on mobile devices and tablets only. It lets players save the Game Portal to their mobile device’s home screen, creating an app-like shortcut they can open directly.
    • Check Activate this feature in your portal.
    • Design the button by selecting a Border and Text Color and Background Color.
    • Upload a Button Image. If no image is uploaded, a default button labeled Add to Home Screen is displayed.
    • Upload an Icon Image and set a Portal Title. These appear on the player’s home screen when the portal is saved as an app-like shortcut.
  4. Click Save to apply your changes.
